Aspidomorpha furcata is a very beautiful beetle. The adult is 41-5.5 mm long and 3.5-5.0 mm wide. The body is flat and round, with arched back, green or yellowish-green living insects, and metallic luster. There are two black vertical lines in the center behind the chest of the front disc. The black ground of the two sheaths forms the "U" shape. Some of them do not fully converge at the mid-seam of the wing end, and there are irregular black spots on both sides of the mid-seam. Their heads are small and often concealed under their forechest. The front chest and back are nearly circular, smooth and without punctuation. Adults spend the winter in weeds, dead leaves, stone crevices or soil crevices near the fields, and stung in April and May of the next year. Adults and larvae are harmful to the main leaves, and when serious, they eat up the whole leaves, resulting in seedling shortage. It is harmful to sweet potato, Yonglai and spiralis.
It is distributed in the southern provinces and regions of China, and in Japan, Vietnam, India, Sri Lanka, the Philippines and the Central-South Peninsula.
