Shortly before sunrise in October 5th, NASA’s all day meteor monitoring network caught a meteor in Arizona. Although the brightness is not surprising, its origin is extremely rare – it comes from the meteor shower of the sextant constellation. Because the radiation point is not far from the sun, when this meteor shower appears, it is often already dawn, so it is also called daytime meteor shower. Only in the short period before sunrise can we have a rare chance to see the meteor shower. Like the Gemini meteor shower in December, it probably originated from the asteroid Faithon 3200.
