乐生活The butterfly Luehdorfia chinensis, known as the "national treasure", is named for its black stripes on the front and back wings, which resemble tiger stripes. The four blue and blue spots with metallic luster on the hind wings are very beautiful with red stripes.
The Chinese tiger-phoenix butterfly is totally metamorphosed and overwinters with pupae in the dead branches and leaves on the surface. Its pupa is black and looks ugly. It mixes with the surface soil and is a natural protective color. The pupa’s development period is the longest in its life cycle. From May of that year to March of the next year, there are more than 300 days. It needs "three volts in summer and three volts in winter" to break cocoons and emerge, turning ugly ducklings into white swans, to achieve a brilliant and beautiful life.
The Chinese tiger-phoenix butterfly is also a second-class wildlife protected by the state. At the same time, it is also a kind of wild butterfly only distributed in China. This unique feature makes it more precious. It is praised as "national treasure" by insect experts. The emblem of the Butterfly Branch of the Chinese Insect Society also takes it as a design.
