White Pagoda of Shuanghe Mountain was built in 1734 in Yongzheng, Qing Dynasty. The masonry structure consists of three parts: the tower base, the tower base and the tower body. It is thirteen meters high. The pagoda is surrounded by brick carvings such as intent cases, sponsors of building pagodas written in Tibetan script, and squatting lions carved on both sides. Aged and disrepair, coupled with the destruction of the Cultural Revolution, caused serious damage. Two renovations were carried out in 1985 and 2005.
At the time of this visit, additional platforms and railings were being built. The worker’s master took great pains to carry the stone up the hill. Fig. 6 The temple under construction is called Shuangfu Temple. Its name is historic and the old building has disappeared.
