The Mausoleum of Emperor Zhu Zaiying of Longqing. It was originally built by Emperor Jiajing for his biological parents. It was the product of the victory of the Great Ritual Proposal, but it was not used. Decades later, the underground palace was still there, and Wanli Emperor sent people to inspect it and found that it had a purple glow, a warm room and a clean entrance hall, so it was determined to be used to bury Longqing Emperor and to build ground buildings according to regulations.
By the time of liberation, the buildings were in ruins. Large-scale restoration began in April 1987 and was completed in 1992.
