At that moment, however, the director of Bowling Green Park at the southern end of Broadway approached Modica and asked him to drag the brass bull into their park. Modica herself is a bit bullish. By free? No way! He wanted to sell the bull to the highest bidder, with the additional condition that whoever bought the bull must keep it in place and donate it to New York City.
