Experience can be roughly divided into two parts:
1. Appropriate filtration (physical filtration is the main)
The three-layer automobile matching box filtration is very effective in both volume and effect.
For lazy people like me, half a year of washing and filtering is absolutely no problem.
There is only one layer of biochemical filter ceramic ring. The first two layers are cotton partial physics.
2. Cleanliness of isolated feeding
Many friends have filtered but rely too much on it.
Everything you eat and drink is thrown into the pool and torn.
The resulting debris and grease seriously pollute the water quality in a short period of time
No amount of filtering can digest in a short time.
What’s more, oil can’t be absorbed basically, which is the cause of white eye disease.
One of the most effective ways to use it on your own is to isolate feeding.
Feeding alone in a basin completely removes the debris from the pond.
After eating, put it back to my mother, and even after eating and pulling shit, put it back again.
Basically, you only need to add water without changing the water.
Water quality is a prerequisite for turtle health
Of course, I have also seen turtles that are still stunned by dirty water.
But after all, this is the survivor bias
Do things best, provide the best environment
Like I said, no one wants to live in one room for a lifetime.
Living is not the same as living. Why not give them a better environment?
Although I only have five turtles, I am very careful with each one.
