Three big foxes in China Vulpes vulpes.

Three big foxes in China: the red fox (Vulpes vulpes), the sand fox (Vulpes corsac), and the Tibetan fox (Vulpes ferrilata).
"Fox" is not a rigorous biological taxonomic concept, but a general term for many species of small canines belonging to different evolutionary branches (the old taxonomy has abolished the term "fox subfamily"). The three species of foxes in China are "true foxes" belonging to the genus Vulpes.
