The cemeteries I ve seen in China are really boring.

The domestic cemeteries I’ve seen are really boring.

My grandparents died one after another this year. My father bought a stele for them in the Cemetery outside their home city (a third-tier cemetery in Sichuan province), so that the ashes of the two elders could be buried.
Dragon Boat Festival to the grave, at a glance, all the tombstones look the same. A complete template, engraved words. Grandpa and grandma’s grave says, "The stele of loving father/mother XXX". The name of filial son/grandson/daughter-in-law is written below, and then what is immortal.
Remembering pictures of my mother’s grandparents’funeral (I didn’t go there at that time), the couplet was also a template for what kind father did his best, and mothers suffered hardships and so on.

My grandfather was a doctor before he died. Although he always said that he didn’t finish primary school, we all know that he had been a soldier (not on the battlefield), and after demobilization, he continued his education to a junior college, and then studied and taught himself in various fields, specializing in neurology and neurosurgery. While sorting out the remains, my father mentioned that he had written a textbook manuscript for Neuroanatomy.
My grandmother was a nurse, and the rural family went to a health school alone. It was hard for girls to get out of that age. Later, he became a psychiatrist and saved many patients.
I guess, at least, there must be a hanging pot to help the world and a good hand. No Drawing couplets are templates, tombstones are templates, and funerals are templates.

(Of course, most weddings in this country are also templates at present.[doge])

I know it’s very troublesome to do these things. It’s very expensive to order all kinds of things. Erlao also said before he died that he shouldn’t be too fussy and boring. But if we don’t talk about big things, shouldn’t we seriously stand in the position of the dead, not the living, to fix their lives?
Important people (or not dying at the right time) will write an obituary or be reviewed by society. But countless ordinary people have also made a lot of contributions to society and family. They also have a very rich and outstanding life or personality. Are these not worth commemorating?
No one wanted to help him think he should write something on the couplet, the tombstone, and read something at the funeral. Everyone avoids these things, avoids death, avoids the boundaries of life and death, and ordinary people will not put an end to their life considerations.

But I still remember that Kelly Fisher’s ashes were packed in an ashes box like a Prozac capsule. This is probably the most indifferent self-mockery of life and death. I also want to die like that. It’s really cool.

Forget it. Write some nonsense late at night. Don’t take it seriously. Maybe I won’t live long either.
