In July 1937, the Executive Yuan of the National Government issued Directive 1497, approving the upgrade to the National Hunan University (the 15th State).
During the Anti-Japanese War, the school moved to Chenxi and was suspended for a time.
In October 1945, he moved back to Yuelu Mountain in Changsha.
In September 1949, it was renamed Hunan University and its first president, Li Da.
Nowadays, Yuelu Academy is the origin of Hu Da-jun.
