At the beginning of school, some classmates gave me a message: There was a display of East Asian finless porpoise/Neophocaena sunameri in Weifang Happy Seabed World, and some photos were provided to me. At first, I doubt the authenticity of this information, because as far as I know, there is only Jinan in the aquarium where East Asian finless porpoise is displayed in Shandong. Quancheng Polar Ocean World and Yantai Penglai Polar Ocean World have consulted relevant websites and have not found any reports of introduction. But considering the actual pictures, I decided to go and explore.
This afternoon, I went to this aquarium for a look. There was indeed an East Asian finless porpoise raised in an exhibition pool estimated to be about 7*6*2.5 (long*wide*high, in meters, which may be different from the actual data). The environment in the exhibition pool was very simple, the visibility of the water body was relatively low, and the four walls and the bottom of the pool were also compared. Dirty. In this environment, the porpoise exhibits certain stereotypes, including scraping the wall of the pond and swimming along a fixed route. I don’t know when and where the porpoise came here. However, the tourists around did not notice the state of the porpoise. I even heard some visitors say, "How nice, it must be very happy to see it swim freely here and there".
Maybe it does look like this on the surface, but I know it should belong to the sea, not the ocean hall.
