Reading City Uighur Tooth Tent City (Khar Balgas)…

# Reading City#Khar Balgas, known as "Black Tiger City" in Chinese, was built in 751 A.D. and is the turning point of the famous ancient Uighu Road. It wasn’t until 840 that the Kyrgyz raided the city and the Uighur Khanate perished. Black Tiger City is irregular square and well preserved.
Fortunately, a granite monument scattered in the wilderness was found near Black Tiger City. The head of the Panlong monument is still visible, which is part of the remains of the famous three-body monument of the Nine surname of the Hui Uighu Khan. The so-called three-style writing refers to the inscription in Chinese, Turkic, Rooney and Souter. The inscription of the Chinese inscription "Nine-surname Hui Uighur Aidengliluo Mimi Shi Heyuga Khan Sacred Wen and Wu Tablet" was set up in Zongyuan and Nine Years (814) of Tang Xian. It is a tribute to the glorious deeds of Baoyi Khan.
The nine-surname Khan Tablet and its nearby Uighur Tooth Curtain City site were discovered by H. Heikel, a Finnish, in 1890. The body of the stele was broken into eight pieces at that time, and later the damage was more serious. Ricker published his amazing discovery in 1892 in the publication of the Finno-Ougrienne Society in Helsinki under the title Inscriptions de L’Orkhon. At that time, both Turkic and Souter scripts had not yet been interpreted. To understand the meaning of the inscription, only according to its Chinese part. In this regard, Chinese scholars have played their role. In 1892, Russian scholar Radlov compiled the Archaeological Atlas of Mongolia, which contains the tablets of Orhun. In 1893, Russian envoys in China took the book to the Premier’s office for help. The Qing government sent Shen Zengzhi to study the Chinese parts of the tablets of Kuantqin, Pigakhan and the nine-surname Uighur Khan. Later, Li Wentian compiled the Helin Jinshilu, which also included and explained the Chinese part of the nine-surname Hui Uighur Khan tablet. Wang Guowei wrote The Nine-surname Hui Uighur Khan Stele and Postscript. Using the Chinese historical records to study the history of the Uighur reflected in the inscription, this study has been pushed to a new height. With the successful interpretation of Turkic and Souter scripts, the rich content of Khan’s monument has been fully displayed and the research has been more and more in-depth, although the long-term damage has made the preservation of the monument rather poor.
Black Tiger City is full of scattered printed tiles and Marmot caves. The entrance of the cave is often scattered with diligent marmots abandoned pine from the base of the ancient city wall.[奥特曼]
