Queen of the rings

[Queen’s ring] the famous antique jeweler Wartski is famous for serving six consecutive generations in the British royal family. Recently, they are going to auction a sapphire ring. This ring is a gift to the wife of the third emperor Kari Gura of the Empire (Caligula), which engraved the statue of the queen.

The ring, which has a history of more than 1900 years, was originally carved out of a whole piece of sapphire. In the middle ages, the collector was inlaid with gold inner rings on the ring. Because of the long past, the carvings of carvings carved on precious stones seem to be absent. People can only draw the outline of a woman’s side face by imagination.
In the first half of the seventeenth Century, the ring was first taken as a rare gem by Thomas Howard, the father of the British collector. In 1875, John Churchill sold many jewels, including the sapphire ring, to repair the manor house (brenheim Palace) of the Duke of Marlborough in the past. Until 1899, sapphire rings again appeared in antique and jewellery trading market. Earlier this year, the museum bought the ring from a private antique dealer.

According to Solli Noons, this sapphire is not suitable for carving or even polishing. However, by testing, the female face on this sapphire ring is made of diamond engravings, and it is more precious and unique.
The ring is now on display in London and will be auctioned later. It is currently valued at 500,000, equivalent to about 4.36 million yuan. It is said to be a very conservative valuation and the final price is expected.
