乐生活Bighead carp (scientific name: Aristichthys nobilis) is also called silver carp and fat head fish.
The head is large and wide, the mouth is wide, and slightly upward. Eye position is relatively low. Bighead carp grows in freshwater lakes, rivers, reservoirs and ponds. Most of them are distributed in the upper and middle layers of water. It is endemic to China.
From the fry stage to the adult stage, zooplankton is the main food, and they eat both phytoplankton. They are typical zooplankton-eating fish.
The bighead is tame and does not like to jump, while the silver carp is the king of the explosion.
Because of some reasons, there are few natural breeding bighead carps, and most of the common bighead carps in rivers originate from the government’s proliferation and release.
