American Bird Pat (Hawaii) [Phoebastria immutabilis Rothschild, 1893] The number one goal of this trip to Hawaii! (Albatross is my favorite bird group, and drifting albatross is my ultimate goal) I also saw it smoothly. I got off the plane in the morning and went straight to them in the afternoon. Before hiking, which is 8 kilometers back and forth, I forgot to bring water excitedly and ran off. As a result, the way back was almost empty.
Black-backed albatross, a small albatross, reproduces only one of the three albatrosses in the northern hemisphere. More than 99% of the population reproduces in the northwest of the Hawaiian Islands. The important breeding sites include Lesser Island and Midway Island. Therefore, the English name is Laysan Albatross. There is a small breeding population on Oahu Island, which can be approached from January to July every year. Albatross babies and adult albatrosses of all ages; although they can look the same feathers as adults in less than half a year (some smaller gulls need four years to look the same as adults), it takes at least six years to reach reproductive age; remember the name“ Wisdom’s female black-backed albatross, still breeding at the age of 66, is probably the oldest known wild bird in the Northern Hemisphere ~@stephanie hewish@Pardalotus-punctatus
