乐生活"Animal prostitution" refers to the act that animals other than human beings sell their bodies to the same kind of opposite sex in exchange for food or nest materials. At present, there is no detailed understanding and Research on this aspect (biologists refuel). Biologists now know that Pygoscelis adeliae, chimpanzees and crab-eating macaques engage in prostitution.
Animal prostitution was first discovered in 1998. At that time, Fiona Hunter, a researcher at Cambridge University, and Lloyd Davis, a researcher at the University of Otago, New Zealand, spent five years observing Penguin mating on Ross Island, Antarctica. Studies have shown that female Adelie penguins leave their male partners by collecting pebbles and wooing their male counterparts without companions to build nests from the rare pebbles on the island. After completing the trade, these females leave and return to their partners.
In addition to acquiring pebbles, Hunter believes that female penguins sell their bodies in order to find the right mate selection after the death of their existing spouse. As for why male penguins accept their courtship, Hunter thinks it’s just to satisfy their sexual needs. Hunter added, however, that Adelie penguins, which sell their flesh, account for only a very small percentage of the community, roughly "a few percentage points".
Adeli penguin is also translated as Adeli penguin. It is a common penguin on the Antarctic coast and its adjacent islands. Adeli penguin is named Adeli. Adelidi, the French Explorer Jules Dimon Devil, discovered the penguin in 1840 and named it after his wife Adeli.
Adeli penguins live on ice floes. As the size of the ice floes and the number of food decrease, the number of Adeli penguins has dropped by 65% over the past 25 years.
