Its hair changes with the seasons – greyer and less flowery in winter. It has lower ears and an owl-like face. His pupils, like those of humans, are round, while cats are straight. Because of its shape, it was once included in the genus Cat and named Felis manul. Even earlier, because of its relatively fat face, it was once considered the ancestor of the Persian cat breed.
It travels at night and catches rodents, rabbits and birds.
Distribution from central Asia eastward to Siberia and China’s mainland Heilongjiang, Qinghai, Inner Mongolia, Hebei, Sichuan, Tibet, Xinjiang and other places, mostly in desert, desert or Gobi region. The model habitat of this species is Dzhida River, Hunan Province, Baikal.
