乐生活New species of the genus Dragonfly from China: A survey was conducted in Western Yunnan from 2017 to 2019. The species was found in Puer and Lincang, Yunnan, along the border between China and Myanmar. This species is very similar to the two-striated broad-bellied dragonfly, but the male hook shape is different, the color of the back of the closure (midthorax anterolateral plate) is different, and the size is smaller. Its population status is rare.
In 2019, a male and a female were lured into Lincang area by adding water in rubber bowl. There is no doubt that their habitats are water pools at the entrance of tree caves and very small isolated pools in the forest. So far, the total number of dragonflies in China has risen to 7 species. This genus is a special kind of dragonflies. It is named "Wide-bellied Dragonfly" because of its flattened abdomen.
