乐生活The trade name of Wallago Attu is Ottou catfish, which is widely distributed in the major rivers of South Asia and Southeast Asia, and also in the lower reaches of Lancang River in China. (What impresses me deeply is that @Luwen was fished by the Banna River.) The catfish is a common and important food fish in Southeast Asia (essential for vegetable market) because of its high yield and delicate meat.
As a typical catfish of Catfish Family, Catfish Forked-tailed is a typical nocturnal ambush predatory bottom-feeding fish with a narrow, long, flat body, two pairs of whiskers and a well-developed olfactory, taste and line-measuring system. But unlike other catfish, the mouth of the catfish is deep and its teeth are large, so unlike other catfish, the catfish’s predation may depend more on biting than on sucking, and its predation strategy may be more active. In spite of that, they usually lie on the bottom and sink.
