The Tomb of Liu Sheng is 51.7 meters long, 37.5 meters wide and 6.8 meters high. Its volume is about 2700 cubic meters. It can be divided into tomb road, swing road, carriage and horse house (south ear room), warehouse (north ear room), front hall (middle room), back room, corridor and so on.
Liu Sheng (165-113 years ago), son of Emperor Jingdi of Han Dynasty, half-brother of Emperor Wudi of Han Dynasty, was born to Mrs. Jia. In the third year (154 BC), he was crowned King of Zhongshan. Fifty-three years old, he was king of Jijing for forty-three years. His brother-in-law, King Zhao Liu Pengzu, commented on him: "The king of Zhongshan is a vassal minister, but he is extravagant and does not follow the people with the help of the Son of Heaven."
