Major Archaeological Discoveries in Boston s Chinatown

[Major Archaeological Discovery of Boston Chinatown] According to the World Daily, the first archaeological excavation of Chinatown, Boston, USA, started on July 8, was declared closed after three weeks of excavation.
The excavation was expected to last for two months. It was hoped that more historical relics would be discovered to let the world know about the new Chinese immigrants who settled in Boston from 1840 to the 1980s. Besides the Chinese, there may also be cultural relics related to Syrian, Irish and English immigrants.
Hundreds of archaeological relics, from glass, pottery to building materials, have been found in Boston in different locations in recent years. Under the leadership of Boston City archaeologist Joe Bagley, 80 volunteers began excavating the open space of Boston’s Chinatown archway. Archaeologist Bagley said excavating Boston’s past was an exciting experience.
Boston Mayor Marty Walsh said: "We are very happy to have the first archaeological excavation in the historic Port of Boston. Boston is an immigrant city, which is an important part of Boston’s history."
Jocelyn Lee, a Massachusetts undergraduate who participated in the project, said that Kaiping City, Guangdong Province, China, and the West Bank of the United States had conducted similar historical records excavation work with historians in areas such as immigration and the Exclusion Act, while it was the first time that the work was carried out in Chinatown in the eastern region of the United States. This archaeological work is expected to uncover the dusty history of this land and to find and record the stories of Chinese immigrants.
At first, however, archaeological work did not go smoothly. We have found that the ground is not earth at all, but bricks… It turned out that when the last building was demolished in 1989, all the bricks and wastes were piled up together, and the archaeological work became bricklaying.
At last, the archaeological team who moved bricks for nearly three weeks made a great discovery. They unexpectedly found a well-preserved dinosaur hind limb in the excavation process!! (Dinosaurs know how to cut, but look at the size of this foot, it should be a small dinosaur!) As for the dinosaur species, please consult "Duoguan"@Xinglida, and there’s a tape that prehistoric humans at the same time as dinosaurs have ever heard! _________. (There may be real dinosaur calls in it)
As the excavation got on the right track, people began to dig deep into the ground. As the local municipal government has a clear rule, the excavation can only dig up to 4 feet (about 1.2 meters). Although there is only a pit more than one meter deep, we have found glass marbles toys, Chinese costume decorations, Chinese porcelain bowl fragments and… Fragments of snails!!
But in view of the rich harvest of the excavation and the high morale of the team, the archaeologist has made a major decision to dig it up to 50cm again! __________.
But this dig. Dig directly into the sea water. Originally, the whole area was a sea, and it was reclaimed after 1840.
Although the archaeological work ended early because of force majeure, archaeologists and their classmates thought that the excavation, oh no, was a fruitful archaeological harvest. According to the relevant authorities, the excavation collected 2000 items, although most of them were from 1970 to 1980.
And five of them are particularly noticeable because they are "quite old" and can even be traced back to 1700 – 1800!!![奥特曼]# Reading City#
