乐生活Leucopsarion petersii is called vegetarian or white fish in Japan. In Japan, they are often caught for food, and some people put them into sake to drink. Transparent body, ecology and shape are similar to silver carp, which is easy to confuse. However, Pittsburgh ice goby and silverfish are completely unrelated fish. Although it looks like a juvenile of some kind of fish, it’s actually just an adult with an immature childish face. Vegetarian fish is only about 5 centimeters long, transparent when alive and white after death.
