Let s talk about New Yorker s announcement of the North American Student Birthday newspaper.

Let’s talk about that article in the North American Student Birthday newspaper by New Yorkers. As a true North American student, I hardly ever see anything left in the North (can I open it occasionally in the circle of friends?). I never thought the daily newspaper was a "news media" and it was a storytelling event. Maybe a lot of people read stories as well.
So, the New Yorker article, which used journalism to tell stories and make up nationalist mouths, was not really a blow to it. Moreover, those who really look at Beiliu may not see those criticisms, exposures and attacks, nor will they care whether Beiliu is a story or a daily newspaper. They’re about this kind of thing.
The "consumption" of information should be explained in other frameworks.

The New Yorker article began by asking "why" – the reliance on Wechat platform and Chinese content, the blankness of "representative" of new middle-class (quasi) international students, and the recognition of the country’s current context.
However, what do these people need and worry about? What do they get from these contents? How do these contents shape their thinking patterns? How does the pattern of money explosion echo these content consumption behaviors? Why doesn’t news and truth matter anymore – what do they really want?
I don’t know, and I don’t care whether these things are right or wrong. But if someone is interested, it might be enough for a doctoral dissertation in communications.

Btw, this reminds me of a New Yorker article last year on "Horizon Theory" – in the United States, a group of people firmly believe that the earth is flat, and organize the Horizon Seminar Association every year with great care.
Talking about news with the North is like talking about science with these people. It’s useless. But this article talks about something else. It’s interesting. You can find it and read it.
