Leopards rarely have the chance to prey on wolves in their natural state.

Natural leopards rarely have the chance to prey on wolves, even for the weaker wolves like Indian wolves. But Canis lupus familiaris, a man-made subspecies of wolves, is much more vulnerable to leopards, and dog meat has even become one of the major food sources of leopards in parts of India.

Figure 8-9 is a failed Hunt – the leopard is too small, the dog is too big, and there is a group of wise men beside it to take pictures, and eventually the leopard abandons the difficult prey.
