"Wu Xun Chuan" is a drama film directed by Sun Yu and Zhao Dan and others. It tells the story of Wu Xun’s "Xing Yu Xing Xue", which was produced by Kunlun Film Company in 1950.
On May 20, 1951, the People’s Daily published an editorial entitled "The discussion of "Wu Xun Chuan" should be emphasized" and criticized the play:
… People like Wu Xun, in the era of great struggles of the Chinese people against foreign aggressors and against domestic reactionary rulers in the late Qing Dynasty, did not touch the feudal economic foundation and the superstructure of the superstructure, but instead became fanatical.,Propagating the feudal culture, and in order to obtain the status of propaganda and feudal culture that it does not have, it is a slap in the face of the reactionary feudal rulers. Is this ugly behavior that we should sing?,To sing praises to this people for such ugly behaviors, even to sing the revolutionary banner of "serving the people", and even to sing with the failure of the revolutionary peasant struggle, is this something we can tolerate?,To admit or tolerate this kind of praise is to recognize or tolerate the peasant revolutionary struggle, to defame Chinese history, and to defame the Chinese national reactionary propaganda.,……
In 2005, it was screened in a series of activities marking the 100th anniversary of the Chinese film and the 90th anniversary of Zhao Dan’s birth.
In 2012, a genuine DVD was released.,In the upper left corner of the cover of the box cover, a line of words is specially marked: "for research."
