When the larvae of Fang’s cloud eel/Pholis fangi are about 50mm long, they will change from white to yellow, and then they will be called "radish silk". Fang’s cloud eel is a real "aboriginal" in the Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea. They are far from the origin center of this genus and grow into species in the Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea, which have a very short history of development and are hidden in the "ice age". Today, under tremendous fishing pressure, they still thrive in this area with their strong adaptability.
