During the summer of 2018, while visiting Zone No. 6 of Ranthambhore, I came upon a group of pilgrims moving around on foot inside the national park. Many tourists, guides and drivers tried to reason with them and requested them to leave the area as there was a tiger in the proximity of the trail they were walking on. Yet, to my surprise, they were unfazed by the risk and continued walking towards the temple. I decided to scout the area and see if there was a possibility of photographing both the pilgrims and the tiger in a single frame to try and depict the situation in a way that would be thought-provoking for viewers. After some careful planning and with a bit of luck, I was able to make this image which perfectly illustrates an issue that often goes overlooked due to its sensitive nature.
