Heterosexual elimination

ChirpingFrom early to today, I came to inhale a super cool bird with fairy air in its long tail, but its dark feathers made it look Gothic and mysterious. Its Japanese name is very vivid. It is called "Black Sparrow". It describes its appearance and indicates that it belongs to Passeriformes. It is a very excellent translation. By contrast, the Chinese name is inferior, called "Long-tailed Widow Bird".But of course, this translation is also completely correct, because it is the English literal translation: long tailed widowbird.

The male of long-tailed widow birds embodies the phenomenon of sexual selection, which is very common in nature. Because females prefer to choose males with longer tails, the male’s tails are getting longer and longer along the long evolutionary path. This kind of shape screening is called heterosexual elimination, and the shape screening is called homosexual elimination through the struggle between males to obtain mating rights. For example, males have bigger horns and bigger bodies in order to gain more advantage in fighting for females.
