Hebomoia glaucippe.

Hebomoia glaucippe (Hebomoia glaucippe) alias orange-tipped pink butterfly, red-tipped pink butterfly, red-tipped pink butterfly, red-tipped white butterfly, red-tipped butterfly, etc. Crane-crowned pink butterfly is one of the largest Pink Butterflies in China. It lays the largest eggs of butterflies in China. Its eggs are 3 mm long. The larvae are also the largest in China, with a body length of 76mm. In Guangzhou, they can occur for nearly ten generations every year. From the end of March in spring to the end of December in winter, adults can be seen flying rapidly. They are the fastest flying butterflies among pink butterflies. The most prominent feature of the Crane-crowned Pink Butterfly is the two prominent orange-red patches on the top of the forewing, the black patches on the back of the female butterfly’s wings are prominent (see figure 1), and the black patches on the back of the male butterfly are rare or not prominent (see figure 2).
Adults like to visit flowers and absorb water (often go to small ponds, streams and wetlands to absorb water, which is the easiest time to be captured QAQ). Unlike common pink butterflies, crane crowns will close their wings together and hide their front wings in their hind wings, revealing only one corner of their front wings. The ventral surface of the exposed wings is covered with protective spots, resembling dead leaves (see figure 3), and stopping in the middle layer of the plant. Overnight on the surface or branches of a green leaf.
The newly laid eggs are milky white and turn orange when hatched (see figure 4).
Larvae host food: a variety of citrus plants and woodfish in the citrus family. Older larvae resemble small green snakes (see figs. 7 and 8).
The main origin of the genus is in Southeast Asia. There are two species in the world, H. leucippe and H. glaucippe. The former is orange-red patch, which accounts for more than two-thirds of the area of the forewing, but not distributed in China. The latter is orange-red patch, which accounts for one-third to one-second of the area of the forewing, in Guangdong, Hainan, Guangxi, Fujian, Yunnan, China. In the south, Tibet and Taiwan are all distributed. Except for H. g. formosana Fruhstorfer in Taiwan, the others are named subspecies (H. g. glaucippe Linnaeus).

Ps: The level of Xiaomeng is limited and the subspecies whine to whine QAQ can not be distinguished clearly. I hope you will understand.
