Gecarcoidea natalis.

Gecarcoidea natalis is a land crab found only on Christmas Island and the Kocos Islands in the Indian Ocean. Although found only in relatively small areas, it is estimated that about 120 million red crabs may live there, the largest of the 14 land crabs on Christmas Island.
Red crabs on Christmas Island live mainly on fallen leaves and flowers, but occasionally eat other animals, including other red crabs.
Males are generally larger than females, and females usually have smaller cheeks. The female crab’s wide umbilical cord did not become obvious until the third year. They live in underground caves to avoid the sun, because they still breathe with their gills, and drying can be extremely dangerous to them (but they are not good at swimming, such as falling into deep water may drown).
Red crabs on Christmas Island are known for their annual migration to the sea to lay eggs. During the migration, crab swarms are densely packed with paths to the coast, which can be seen from the air. Volunteers shoveled crabs off the road. Although unintentionally causing crab injury, but there are still countless crabs, some of which will inevitably be injured.
But the invasion of the alien species, the African giant ant, has also reduced their numbers.
