Gambusia affinis
It was named after the mosquito, which was introduced to mosquito control in early stage, but it also competed with local native species to compete for food and habitat. The competition for food and habitat, and even the eggs of other fish and the tadpoles of Ru Wen frog can threaten the survival of the original species, such as Taiwan, Japan and some parts of Australia. Mosquito-eating fish compete with native fish and destroy the ecological balance. It has been listed as one of the world’s top 100 alien invasive species by the World Conservation Union (IUCN).
