When shooting in peacetime, one kind of decapod larvae with a strange bonito face like an apostle and another kind of red-faced decapod larvae with hyperactivity disorder can’t be imagined to be the same thing until you see the metamorphosis. There are two different larval stages of the species. The former is the larval stage of cicada crab’s big eye. After a complete metamorphosis, the larval stage of cicada crab has been replaced by an almost identical appearance with the adult stage.
A few days ago, I suddenly heard my potential guide Obet screaming. He looked suspicious and saw a newly transformed cicada and crab swimming out of its shell. He regretted that I had missed the moment of metamorphosis. But in fact, I had taken such pictures several times before, so it was quite indifferent. The day before yesterday, I met another one. The action began to slow down obviously, and it seemed that I was going to metamorphose. Change, and then left to observe, indeed, this record of the whole process of metamorphosis for nearly a minute. Obet told me that these cicadas and crabs live on the sandy seabed as adults. I’ve never seen them before. I hope I can record their final appearance one day.
