Filming of Yalu River Railway Bridge in Dandong on June 2015
Located in the revitalization zone, there are two bridges, less than 100 meters apart. The first is an abandoned bridge, only half of which is left, and only a few piers are left on the other side. Built in 1909-1911. During the war, it was bombed many times by American planes. The second bridge is still in use. Construction began in 1937 and was delivered in 1943. (When resisting the US and aiding the DPRK, the volunteers first entered the DPRK not from Dandong, but from the Yalu River Railway Bridge in Ji’an, Jilin Province, on October 11, 1950. )
