Cuculus canorus

Cuculus canorus is a bird of the genus Rhododendron of Rhododendron family. Its nicknames are Guogong, Bugu, Dove and Kagu (North China). Widely distributed in Europe, Africa, Asia and other places outside the Arctic Circle, mostly inhabited in mountains and plains on trees and near settlements.
The biggest characteristic of Rhododendron is that it does not nest and hatch itself, but lays its eggs in the nests of various passerine birds, such as Reed Warbler, Sparrow, Grey Magpie, Shrike, Brown Crow Sparrow, North Red-tailed Bustard, Brown Fantail Warbler and so on. Generally, the young can hatch quickly in about 10 days, and then instinctively push the other eggs out of the nest and smash them with the back. Until one of them was left, the parents of the selected birds raised the cuckoo cuckoos, who were not born at all or who killed their children, as "the only surviving children".
