Crowds of sharks were caught by Seine boats. Subadult silk sharks are highly clustered and like many fish, they are the biggest victims of both Purse Seine Fisheries and gold Seine fisheries. Several studies have shown that more than 70% of all sharks caught in Purse Seine Fisheries are silk sharks. Sharks are two species of CITES appendix and are already vulnerable.
