[Antiquities] Fresco Bricks for Post Ambassadors
M5 unearthed from Wei and Jin tombs in Jiayuguan New Town, Gansu Province
This brick is on the left and lower side of the front chamber of the tomb, which should be painted around the 3rd century A.D. The original painting is 34 cm long and 17 cm wide. It has a beige background, black outline, yellow horse body and several red patches. The picture shows a post messenger riding on a red mane horse, wearing a crown of virtue, wearing a right-skinned wide sleeve shirt, foot-mounted boots, holding wooden slips in his left hand, and the post riding four feet to the air. The five senses on the courier’s face did not paint his mouth, presumably to show the secrecy of the courier’s past.
On August 25, 1982, the former Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications selected & quot; courier Map & quot; and issued J85 "The First Congress of the All-China Philatelic Federation" to commemorate one small piece for stamp design.
New China Post Savings was restored in 1986. The former State Post Savings and Exchange Bureau issued the first national deposit and exchange bank debit card in 1994. The card face was also selected as & quot; messenger Map & quot;.
