American Species Record 10 Years ago Today ___________

American Species RecordTen years ago today, July 27, domestic time, July 26, American time, I first set foot on the North American continent, until today, a full 10 years! Continuous 3652 days and nights, for various reasons, have not returned home once, listen to others say that the motherland is not the same as before, and in the motherland’s relatives, friends, teachers, really miss the 10 years from 19 to 29 years old, the best 10 years of life, spent in the United States, in retrospect, really like a dream, here. It left too many memories and the first time, the first time I had my own car, the first time I skied, the first time I drove a long distance, the first time I opened the night road, the first time I contacted the FBI, the first time I watched whales, the first time I watched birds, the first time I climbed, the first time I went to church, the first time I went to a strange city alone, the first time I contacted the big wilderness intimately. Animals, first questioned by the police, first hell, first job, first salary ~But the most important thing is to get a doctorate and the countless beautiful memories left with wildlife, from the animals that can only read books at home to the real flying self to see those books on TV in the wild. The wildlife will never forget the night of waiting for Hazelnut chicken in the prairie in the early morning tent, the long distance for the big white cat (owl) on the vast snow plain, the Ulin owl filmed in the cold wind of minus 25 degrees, and the driving all night just to witness the amazing courtship ceremony of Hazelnut chicken with mugwort. The helplessness of seeing Burmese pythons in the swamp, the sadness of the first tortoise being crushed by a car in front of my eyes, the excitement of seeing legendary giants for the first time on a whale trip, the difficulty of searching for five-striped orangutans alone in the deep mountains of the border between the United States and Mexico, and the black bears in Montana Mountains and the Americas The thrilling encounter in Hawaii, the regret of witnessing the extinction of natural beads, the failure of searching for many times and finally the effort of finding the true Brown cockatoos that I can see, the surge of the great migration of birds in Texas, and the sight of the ocean in my mind, will never be forgotten. The joy of the Albatross Albatross will never forget the yellow-waisted warbler that can only be seen at dawn on the southernmost mountain range of the continental United States, the little turtle that hobbles along the Texas beach toward the sea just emerging from its shell, and the beautiful moment when it meets the world’s most beautiful creature, killer whale. When I saw the California vulture white-headed eagle, I sincerely appreciated the protection of American wildlife. I could not forget the Florida dusk I spent with American manatees and alligators, the giant crocodile eel dragged from the river with my American friend Meng Tianle, and the enlightenment that made me embark on the road of bird watching wildlife. Birds sneer at the North Thrush. Of course, every time a species that has not been seen in the wild appears in front of you or in the telescope, it is an unforgettable moment, so unforgettable that I can tell the experience of meeting every species that I have seen personally. These "unforgettable" have contributed to another achievement I am proud of. So, if I’ve seen the second most American birdcrawling Chinese in the wild, I haven’t been able to stand up and say that I’m the first. In my spare time, I have recorded more than 2,000 invertebrates, 6 classes, 55 orders, 183 families and 1030 vertebrates. Of course, the most impressive vertebrates in these 10 years are those alone. One person has traveled over 100,000 kilometers of highway, through 47 states, 44 national parks, 42 wildlife reserves, 31 national forests. Half of the journey is night road. Although it’s hard, it’s true that long-distance listening to audio books, hundreds of lectures enrich themselves and make up for the regret of not having time to read. Spirit and body are on the road at the same time to refuel in the next decade!
