乐生活Eudocimus ruber is a kind of Ibis inhabiting tropical South America and Trinidad Island. They are the national birds of Trinidad, appearing on the national emblem of Trinidad and Tobago together with the brown-buttocked pheasant-crowned pheasant. They always forage in groups in the beach, saltwater lake, mangrove and swamp, and spend the night in the big trees in the swamp, which is very conspicuous and looks like red flowers in the distance. They mainly eat crustaceans and small aquatic animals. The nestlings are grey and white, and eat red crabs in the marshes. They grow up with red feathers. American red ibises are closely related to American white ibises and are sometimes considered to be the same species. The eggs of American red ibis were placed in the nests of American white ibises in 1962. Later, their pink hybrid emerged.
