A twelve-year-long American opera.

A twelve-year-long American drama has thus spanned my high school, university, graduate student, No. 1, No. 2, No. 2.5 job, and my Ph. D. first grade, and many people’s youth career.

It may also have special significance for me and my fellow science popularizers. The show aired in 2007, the Science Squirrel Society was founded in 2008 and the Fruit Shell in 2011 — we all have to thank the show for making science communication catch up. Scientists are no longer so cold and frightening. We begin to talk about science and geek culture, which makes science richer and more flexible. Around the Big Bang, there are countless cold knowledge, compulsory science popularization, self-blackness, and small partners inspired by Leonard and Shelton in theoretical physics research.

It can be said that this group of scientists on the screen contributes to science, perhaps really do not lose the real scientists. "Making 11 million people sit in front of the television every week and watch a group of physicists toss" is a great achievement.

When we all miss our youth, I wrote this article from the perspective of a science communicator and a scientific and social researcher. Why the Big Bang? What role does Big Bang play for science? And how can we make a hard-core scientific entertainment work like Big Bang?

I sincerely hope that those funny, warm, unreasonable sections of the bridge will give us more inspiration than an American drama. We’ve been watching scientists talk for twelve years. It’s a terrific thing in itself.
