African ostrich, captured in Cape Town and surrounding South Africa in July 2019.
African ostrich is the largest bird on the earth, and also a bird with high recognition. Its height can be as high as 2.5 meters, which is relatively easy to find in the field. On July 16, 2019, I saw ostrich for the first time on the Cape Hope Road to Cape Town. When I found it, I stopped at the roadside. Maybe because there were more people in the scenic area, I was not afraid of people, so I could take photos with my mobile phone at close range. Later, we also saw ostriches many times in the field, the number is as high as a dozen, and always male and female pairs appear, but very afraid of people, the basic car stops and runs away. The last time I saw a bigger bird was a bipedal crane camel at a wildlife park on Kangaroo Island in Australia in 2018.
